Why should dryer vents be cleaned?
The pipe and dryer accumulate lint over time. Sometimes animals make nests in the pipe too. Lint is highly flammable, and a spark can quickly cause a house fire. Clogged dryer vents also prevent the humid air from exhausting, causing it to take longer for your load to dry.
Vent cleaning involves cleaning the pipe that vents the dryer to the outside. Vent cleaning can also involve cleaning inside the dryer, past the lint trap. Ask your technician if they also clean inside the dryer. That’s where most lint fires actually start. Foster Appliance cleans dryers and the vents when they perform a vent cleaning. Call Foster Appliance today for a free vent inspection and estimate.
Why doesn’t my new dryer have a cord?

Why doesn’t my new range have a cord?
The correct cord must be installed on the range to meet the plug’s requirements. There are two sizes of electrical plugs. One plug requires 3-wires and the other plug requires 4-wires. Why gas range vs electric range?
It’s really about your preference and home’s setup. Gas ranges require natural gas or LP gas hookup, whereas electric requires 250-volt electric hookup. If you have both hookups and still aren’t sure what you want, then an important thing to consider is how you use the range most. If more time is spent using the oven, then electric is generally preferred. If more time is spent using the stove top, then gas is generally preferred. If you are an avid cook, utilizing both the oven and stove-top equally, then dual fuel ranges are also available. Foster Appliance can help you find the right range for your lifestyle.
